The article presents the analysis of literature data on the impact of different methods of surgical correction (transurethral and laparoscopic) of benign prostatic hyperplasia on the copulative function state, including such phenomena as libido, erection, orgasm and ejaculation. Application of the above methods is associated with the effect on the sexual life of a patient, which may manifest both as progression and regression of copulative dysfunction. In terms of etiopathogenesis comorbidities and age accurately determine the progression of already existing prior to the operation copulative dysfunction. However, there is no clear understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms of cases of erectile dysfunction de novo. The effect of laparoscopic and endovideosurgical methods of treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia on the copulative function state at different stages of postoperative period is little studied in the world clinical practice that certainly requires randomized prospective research in this direction. There are no works in the world literature devoted to a comprehensive assessment of the impact of different methods of surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (in a single study) on the copulative function state as a whole

Ключевые слова: benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), transurethral and laparoscopic surgery for BPH, copulative dysfunction in the surgical treatment of BPH
